You will learn:

Health and safety law and how it applies to supervisors.
your supervisory responsibilities in controlling site safely.
risk assessments and the need for method statements
effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.

Mandatory Entry Requirements

English language: A good understanding of spoken and written English is required. If you have any concerns about meeting this requirement, please contact us for further information.
Valid identification: You will need to provide a copy of a valid ID, such as your passport or driver's license.
E-Cert issuance: Please note that it may take approximately 2-3 weeks for the CITB to issue your E-Cert.

The CITB SSSTS course concludes with an exam consisting of 25 questions. Four of these questions are designated as "safety critical" and require written answers.

Multiple choice questions: Each worth 1 point.
Safety critical questions: Worth 1 to 3 points each.

To pass the exam, candidates must:

Answer all safety critical questions correctly (minimum score of 4 points).
Achieve an overall score of at least 80% (24 points out of 30).

Passing the exam and completing the course leads to the award of the CITB SSSTS certificate, which remains valid for five years.
